Clay Cross regeneration
Clay Cross is a former mining town in North East Derbyshire. During 2010 I became involved with the regeneration project for the town centre. It involved removing a 100 year old mining spoil heap and providing a retail and residential deevelopment. I visited the site every two weeks or so. My objective was to see how the development changed not only the landscape of the town but the way its people thought about it.
