Another way of looking...
Welcome.
My name's Geoff Hicks, and I'm an amateur photographer. I've been based in Derbyshire, UK. This year, though, I'm spending more time down in Herefordshire, based near Bromyard. I am a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society. I'm a past president of Chesterfield Photographic Society, a member of Clay Cross Photographic Society, and a member of the RPS East Midlands Contemporary Group. I'm also now a member of Worcestershire Camera Club.
The images are here because they are another way of looking. My hope is that you might change the way you look at the world, or start to look at it in a different way, or really look at it when you didn't before. In any case, I'd be interested to know how you responded. Please contact me with your thoughts. Use the "contact us" page.
I accept commissions. I don't do weddings, portraits or natural history, though. I'm a N&EMPF lecturer, and hope shortly to be added to the Midland Counties Photographic Federation lecturers' list. I am available to talk to photographic clubs and societies around the Midlands, generally within an hour or so's drive of Bromyard or Chesterfield, although I'm flexible. I also give talks to non-photographic clubs who invite speakers to their meetings.
The images on this page are from my current project: Not Going Out - a study of lockdown.
